Maha Al-Omari
ARTIST & FILMMAKER
I am an artist and filmmaker from Yemen. My interest in art began at an early age and I helped set up the first art house in Taiz, my home city. My skills range from film storyboards to character design and 2D animation. My work explores human rights and gender equality. I am Project Manager for City of Sanctuary's Maternity Stream. I regularly collaborate with Stand & Be Counted, directing Tales of Love and Loss and designing both their tenth-anniversary artwork and Bradford Refugee Week 2021 exhibition.
