Re-released for Bradford Refugee Week 2021

Where We Are, a documentary film with Tafadzwa Muchenje.

Where We Are tells the real-life story of Tafadzwa and his fight against the injustice caused by a Home Office admin error. Made in collaboration with Zambian filmmaker Smart Banda and directed by Rosie MacPherson, Where We Are won the Civil Rights Award at the New York City IO Film festival. The documentary follows directly on from SBC Theatre’s critically acclaimed touring show Where We Began which The Stage described as ‘A Handmaid’s Tale for immigration, Where We Began is an urgent, angry examination of the idea of home.’.

Where We Are was commissioned by Journeys Festival International as part of Liberty EU, funded by Creative Europe and supported by Camden People’s Theatre, Cast and Theatre in the Mill.
